My old Loctite Yamaha
RD125LC

The bike was originally started being restored by Tom "Mac"
Tom had the Frame, yokes and a few little bits were powder
coated in 2000. The "Loctite" paintwork was done by "Captain Morgan's Paint" in
2001. Stainless fasteners were fitted wherever possible.

The current spec list is as follows for the LC :
Autissa 175cc big bore kit,
Chromed Jim Lomas Exhaust - BS stamped,
Powder coated frame,
Polished and rebuilt forks,
Loctite blue and white paintwork,
Guiliari seat - recovered in black,
Micron fork brace,
Chrome radiator grille,
Chromed petrol cap, Stainless steel fasteners wherever possible,
JMC swinging arm - not fitted tho decided not to use it,
Brand new wiring loom - not fitted yet
The spares consist of:
A crank, 123cc Barrel, Head, couple of Carbs and a pair of reasonable condition side panels.
What's Next?
Well, Since getting hold of the mk3 engine as a spare, I am
undecided what to do, I may try and get hold of a YPVS servo kit and run it in
the loctite, Though the bike has a 175cc big bore kit fitted already so it will
have ample power anyway. On the other hand I like the idea of the powervalve to
get the best of both worlds, good mid range power and power thru to the red
line.
Cosmetically, I do like the mk2 125LC more than the mk1, the mk2 has a beefier,
more sporty look, whereas the mk1 looks rather dated in comparison. So in time I
may fit the mk2 forks and wheels set up. Though fitting mk2 clocks is going to
be on my list of things to do.

(Please note, I no longer own the loctite RD125LC - it has a new
owner, Martin in Yorkshire who has now been in contact with me, and has now
agreed to send updates in 2005)
