Loctite RD125LC in 2005
So, now in 2005, the loctite's fate seemed doomed
after some of it's parts were found on ebay, rumours that the Loctite had been
broken for spare rapidly spreading, until the latest owner (thanks Martin) got
in touch with me and told me the loctite was still being restored and engine
rebuilt, though a few parts had been taken off by another owner before him.
Martin was kind enough to agree to send me updates on the Loctite RD125LC as he
goes along.

JUST A QUICK NOTE TO LET YOU KNOW WHAT I'VE DONE TO THE BIKE SINCE I BOUGHT IT
IN DECEMBER 2004. I HAVE REBUILT THE ENGINE WITH NEW CRANK AND HEAD GASKET FOR
THE AUTISSA 175 BIG BORE KIT THANKS TO GRAMPIAN MOTORS, LIVERPOOL. I PUT THE
ENGINE BACK IN THE BIKE TO TEST AND GUESS WHAT IT STARTED 2ND KICK AND SOUNDS
SWEET, I'VE ALSO SORTED THE OIL PUMP PROBLEM SO THERE'S NO NEED TO MIX OIL IN
THE TANK. AS YOU ALREADY KNOW THE COCKPIT FARING AND BELLY PAN WERE REMOVED
BEFORE I BOUGHT IT SO I BOUGHT BRAND NEW ONES AND A WEEK LATER THE PREVIOUS
OWNER PUT THE ORIGINALS ON EBAY! (BUMMER!) I'M JUST WAITING TO HAVE THEM PAINTED
ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE BIKE DUE TO MICRO BLISTERS BUT DON'T WORRY I'M
KEEPING THE BLUE AND WHITE LOCTITE DESIGN! FROM THE PHOTOS ATTACHED YOU WILL SEE
THAT THE FORK BRACE WAS REMOVED AND THE JIM LOMAS EXHAUST WAS SWAPPED FOR A ALL
SPEED EXHAUST. SO I'VE BOUGHT A MICRON FORK BRACE AND A PAIR OF REAR SET PEGS TO
MAKE IT A BIT MORE SPORTY AND TO GIVE YOU THAT RACE SEATING POSITION.
